Superintendent Search
Jackson County Central's School Board is interviewing six candidates for our Superintendent position.  Interviews will take place on April 23 & April 24.  The six finalists are: Dustin Bossart, Dennis Fisher, Dr. Michelle Mortensen, Barry Schmidt, Joel Timmerman, and John Willey.

  Out of these six candidates, two finalists will be selected to participate in a final round Q & A session on April 27th.  Former Board member, Holli Arp, will moderate the session.  We invite the public to attend this final round of interviews.

First Session - 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Second session - 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Grade Alike Buildings - Parent Meetings

Throughout the Spring, our Elementary Principals will host informational meetings for each Elementary grade.  We hope these meetings make the transition to grade alike buildings as smooth as possible.  Please view the dates for each grade below.

Tuesday, April 30th - 2nd grade at 6:00 p.m., Riverside
Tuesday, April 30th - 3rd grade at 7:00 p.m., Riverside

Thursday, May 2nd - 1st grade at 6:00 p.m., Riverside

Monday, May 6th - 4th grade at 6:00 p.m., Pleasantview
Monday, May 6th - 5th grade at 7:00 p.m., Pleasantview


Riverside's School Age Care
Riverside is offering School Age Care for students Kindergarten through 5th grade.  School Age Care covers before and after school, along with care on non-school days.  
The program hours are: 
School Days: Monday - Friday, 6:30-7:30 a.m. & 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Non-School Days: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
If you would like to register your child for School Age Care, please fill out the registration form below.  Forms can be submitted to the office at Riverside Elementary.

Driver's Education Information for 2018

For those interested in taking Driver's Ed. in 2018, please visit the link below for start dates & meeting times.

Buses transport students to the Middle School from the upper North parking lot at the High School in the morning at 7:45am and return to the upper north lot at the high school at 3:20 pm and Riverside at 3:25 pm where students can switch to their regular bus routes.  

The late bus will pick up at the Middle School at 5:15 pm and deliver students to Riverside (West doors) at 5:35pm or the High School (lower South lot) and then route back to Lakefield (Middle School).
